Simple test cases obfuscates the use of software tools in real world application software development.

It reminds me of the early days of the personal computer and software development:
USER: the application is not working correctly.
DEVELOPER: it is working correctly. I can show you on my computer.
USER: but it is not doing what I want it to do the way I want to use it.

Of course both were correct BUT the developer obfuscated the real world use of of the product.

Who remembers VisiCalc or WordStar...

Perhaps over simplified but say what you want about M$ but they listen(ed) to the users while the other product developers were deaf ... and now there is Excel and Word

I, for one, dont want CGD to suffer the same result. Again, for one, I dont develop simple products with simple use of the tools that I use. WHY DOES CGD EXPECT THAT THAT IS WHAT I DO?

To submit code out without context DOES NOT solve my problem.

To every arguement there is a counter argument
Neither may be correct
Neither may be incorrect
Sure a day follows night, if there is no consensus without compromise or a change by one or both, relegation to obscurity looms large.
