PDFViewer error "file origin does not match viewer's"

I have an application running in an Amazon VM that utilizes the PDFViewer component. When I access the application in HTTPS I get this message when I try to view the PDF file: "Message: file origin does not match viewer's". The application is ISAPI and runs behind an AWS load balancer with the SSL certificate installed on it. Basically everything behind the load balancer is HTTP. The PDFViewer is not accepting the URL of the document because the browser is HTTPS and the document URL is HTTP. How can I override this?
