Issues with MySQL and JQGrid and FireDAC

Does this happens only with one table/Query ?
Do you have any error in javascript debugger ?

Yes this is the only FDQuery with issues. I have other FDQuerries in my application which work as expected. One populates the JQScheduler. They all work as expected. The Query is simple with only 3 columns: 2 strings and 1 tdatetime.
UserController has a theme defined for the application.

I have debugger on. There are no exceptions raised of bugs notifications.

Can you try to add a row in DB , just to check if it's due to only one row ?

if you click on Refresh in the grid. It displays FDQuerry.RecordCount which is one. The edit fields show what should be outputting

Ok just added a second row and placed to more edit components. The edit components show the values of the querry which is correct
but the grid is still empty.

Your problem is in ServerController.
Please set the ServerController.ComInitialization to ciNormal or ciMultiThreaded
