why do sort icons appear when grid isn't sortable

I have a grid with WCGJQGrid1.JQGridOptions.Sortable := False. When I select the grid headers the sort icons appear as if the grid is being sorted. Why does this happen when the property is turned off?

You need sortable property of each column.
