How to change Tab caption during runtime

Hello All,

Hope you had a happy Christmas!

Is there a way to change (and ReRender) the caption of an ajax tab without ReRendering the entire tab set? I have an app where I create tabs dynamically at run time and throughout the tab's life the caption may change. For example, the user creates a new tab which has the caption 'New Contract (1)'. Once the data is entered, validated and saved it's caption is changed to 'Contract 12345 [Open]'.

Right now I have to ReRender the tabs and while this accomplishes the goal, when I have many tabs open it takes a really long time because it ReRenders all created tabs - not just the visible one.

Any ideas?
