SidePanel changes?

General discussion

by magosk » 02 Jan 2015 11:42

Hi, I am trying to migrate from IW 14.0.32 and CGDevTools 2.3.0.89 in Delphi XE to IW 14.0.36 and CGDevTools 2.4.0.119 (in preparation for migrating to Delphi XE7). I have a page with a SidePanel (that is supposed to slide in from the left when you click a footer button, partially covering the underlying parts) that has stopped working (the SidePanel content ends up in the page content area in stead of on top of it). I tried changing some properties in the options of the control without success. Do you have any knowledge of changes between these versions that can give me some clues as of what I have to modify?

Best regards

Magnus Oskarsson

P.S. For some reason there was no "New Topic" button for me in the SidePanel-specific group under Components, so I posted under General instead.

Hi magosk,

You're right!!!
Just set the ClipRegion to False (programmatically).
Fixed in next beta build.

Best Regards.

Hi,

I tried looking at ClipRegion for the page region (which is the parent control of the side panel), but it is False by default. Changing it to True does not help either. I'm probably misunderstanding your suggestion. But that does not matter if you publish a fix soon, when will you publish the next development version?

Best regards

Hi again. I see there is a new development build 2.5.0.8. Does it include the fix for the side panel you mention?

Kind regards

Hi

Yes, but it's not a classical fix, it was more a readaptation to IW's 36 breaking changes, ie, we werent supposed to changes anything, everytime a new IW version pops out
