ComboBox Question

Howdy All!!

I have a web reservation module.

Because of resources / time, I have developed it using the non-mobile components of CGDevTools.

For the most part, all works fine.

The biggest complaint I get is combo boxes. On later versions of Android, they work as expected (i.e. Android 4.4), but on some earlier versions they display but the users cannot drop them down to make a selection.

Any idea on a good solution that will work well with MOST browsers whether mobile or desktop?

Thanks,

Aggie85

P.S. After initially posting and doing a GOOGLE, I found this component:

http://www.jqwidgets.com/jquery-widgets-demo/demos/jqxdropdownlist/index.htm?%28arctic%29

The site also has a bunch of other interesting components. Any chance of getting the above as a CGDevTools component?

Hello

Thanks for the suggestion,

jQuery Widgets is an awesome jQuery based library, but it's not free, and we cannot use it without a proper arrangement.

Actually we've already contacted them and get to an aggreement for developing a new suite only with jqx widgets.

We only needed the time to do it, because all the rest it's pretty well defined.

But for what I see in the link, that is only using HTML instead a single line text,

Are you referring to JQComboBoxEx or JQDropDown?

but support HTML instead of simple text.

Thanks for quick response.

i have tried every dropdown / combobox component in the desktop suite and they all seem to not invoke (dropdown) in some versions of Android other than 4.4.

Any ideas to get tis resolved would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again

Hi again

Ok, since you are saying that the combo or dropdown doesnt work in Android other than version 4.4, we're going to check this out

Thanks.

That is what I am being told. All my Android products work but they are all running 4.4.

I will see if I can find an earlier version of Android to test myself.

Again, I appreciate the help.

Howdy Again!

I just spent hours borrowing and testing with Android phones running all different versions of Android and I could NOT repeat this problem a customer has been complaining to me about.

I did see one problem, but it has nothing to do with CGDevTool components.

I apologize for wasting y'alls time.

Best Regards,

Aggie85

Are you going to make new component set based on jqwidgets? Really?
