So the answer is no, we cannot, unfortunatelly

i don't know much about the differences between the various open source licenses, and i don't know if back then it was open source, but it seems that they have a GNU GPL license now.
does it mean it's an Open Source you can use please?

We still can't use it, due the License limitation.
