CG Gurus,

I have observed that the CGEdit controls retain their design time values when data bound. To explain.. When one activates a corresponding databound dataset, the control renders in design time with the applicable data (which is a nice feature). However, when rendering the control in run time, these CGEdit controls retain the design time data when the dataset is closed.

Please take action to have the databound controls be cleared at runtime when the bound dataset is closed.

I have experienced this issue before - I don't think it is a CGD problem. I now take extreme precautions at design time to make sure that all datasets and db connections are closed on all forms and datamodules before a build and before saving/closing forms and datamodules at design time

@MCarver: Leo is right, you shouldn't leave Text from the opened datasets while you save the form, it will be changed only when the dataset will be opened.
