You are correct; Installing OpenSSL does fix the problem.

However, this is very troubling to me. I am using a brand new Win7-64 install on a new computer and cannot use the GoogleReCaptcha component without installing OpenSSL.

Does this mean that all of my customers that use 64-bit Windows are going to have the same problem? I am designing a public web site and I cannot control what DLLs the end-user has installed.

Logically only the server needs it.
